Champions for Life Kids' Camp
Champions for Life Kids' Camp is a camp specifically designed to cater to the special needs of hurting and abused children in the foster care system. It runs for two one-week periods in July serving about 120 children.

Activities for the children include: archery, technical tree climbing, swimming, arts & crafts, Horseback Riding, Carnival Day, Birthday Party (as many in the system have never had a birthday party) and many more. Family-style meals are served in the dining room where everyone can relax and chat about the day.

I have been involved in this camp in one way or another for more than 10 years and have seen first hand the changes in a child. Some have been so positively and profoundly impacted that they have now returned to be Camper Buddies (a 'Friend for a Week' assigned to a camper).

Morale, Welfare, & Recreation (MWR)
At various times a year, I attend the pop-up shows located at the Detroit Arsenal Army Base.  A portion of my proceeds go towards this organization that meets the needs of children and families of military members.
