This pure Olive Oil soap (Castile) is so mild, it is often used as a baby soap. It is made true to the original, old-fashioned way with the addition of buttermilk to make it extra-gentle.
A few people I have spoken to are under the mistaken belief that Castile is an ingredient. This is not true. It is a 'type' of soap. There is a major brand that has a 'Castile' soap, that is actually a mixture of oils and other ingredients, making it a bit harsh on the skin. A true, old-fashioned Castile is just lye and olive oil. I have added a natural chelator and a preservative so that your soap is the highest quality possible.
